The Iranian government, in response to the European Union (EU) listing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, has recognized the armed forces of EU countries as terrorist structures based on Article 7 of the 2019 "On Countermeasures" law.
Oxu.Az reports, citing the TASS agency, that this was stated by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
The mentioned law was adopted on April 28, 2019, as part of countermeasures in connection with the United States being the first country to recognize the IRGC as a terrorist structure.
Article 7 of the law states: "All countries that in any way support or comply with the US decision to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization shall be subject to countermeasures."
