The victory of Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta in the elections has also paved the way for the long-term future of head coach Hansi Flick at the club.
According to Medianews.az citing Publika.az, the German specialist planned to make a decision regarding the extension of his contract after the elections. He only wanted to stay at Barcelona if Laporta was re-elected as president.
According to Diario Sport, the extension of Flick’s contract until 2028 is now a matter of time. His current contract expires next year.
At the same time, Deco, who is one of Laporta’s closest associates and the sporting director, has also secured his future at Barcelona.
