Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed peace, trade, and regional cooperation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Medianews.az reports citing Apa that the leaders discussed Turkey–Ukraine bilateral relations, peace efforts in the Ukraine–Russia war, as well as regional and global processes.
Erdoğan stated at the meeting that Turkey’s support for negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will continue and that the region needs more peace and stability.
He emphasized that Turkey places great importance on navigation security in the Black Sea and stressed the importance of securing energy supply. He also said that Turkey is determined to increase mutual trade turnover with Ukraine and that the necessary steps to this end will continue to be taken.
The Turkish President also expressed satisfaction at Ukraine’s development of relations with the Gulf countries during the meeting.
