Experts are issuing serious warnings due to the possibility of an increase in magnetic storms striking the Earth in November. This is a signal that powerful storms affecting the magnetic field during the solar activity cycle are increasing.
According to the 27-day space weather forecast announced by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) for the period of October 20–November 15, magnetic storms at the G1-G2 level (i.e., mild to moderate) are expected between November 8-9 and on November 15.
At the same time, the space weather website Spaceweather.com shows that active magnetic field disturbances on the Earth's surface have increased and there is a tendency towards a "severe" point.
As a result of these storms, satellites, navigation systems, radio communications, and electrical networks may be at risk.
So, what should be done?
Preventive measures should be taken in areas sensitive to space weather effects (countries with high-tech satellites, telecommunications, and energy infrastructure).
Since solar activity is rising, warnings should be taken seriously and appropriate operational instructions should be issued to minimize risks in technological systems./Musavat.com
