The group stage matches of the 2026 World Football Championship continue.
Medianews.az reports that on June 16, in Group H, Saudi Arabia – Uruguay, in Group G, Iran – New Zealand, in Group I, France – Senegal matches will be held.
The matches will start at these times according to Baku time:
Saudi Arabia – Uruguay (at 02:00)
Iran - New Zealand (at 05:00)
France – Senegal (at 23:00).
All three matches will be held in the USA.
The 23rd World Football Championship, where 48 teams compete, is hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The championship started on June 11. The teams are divided into 12 groups.
The top two teams in each group and the 8 best third-placed teams will qualify for the round of 16.
The round of 16 is scheduled for June 28 – July 4, the round of 8 for July 4-7, the quarterfinals for July 9-12, the semifinals for July 14-15, and the third place play-off and the final for July 19.
