Today, the third place winner of the 2026 World Cup has been determined.
Medianews.az reports that the national teams of France and England faced each other for the bronze medal.
The match started at 01:00 Baku time.
The game started with a goal. In the 3rd minute, Declan Rice put England ahead on the scoreboard: 1:0.
In the 18th minute, the English made the score 2:0. Ezri Konsa scored a precise header.
In the 37th minute, Bukayo Saka scored England's third goal. The Arsenal winger scored his second and his team's fourth goal in the 46th minute. The first half ended with a score of 4:0.
At the beginning of the second half, France reduced the difference. In the 48th minute, Kylian Mbappe scored: 1:4
In the 54th minute, Barkola reduced the difference to two goals: 2:4.
Mbappe reduced the difference to the minimum in the 66th minute: 3:4.
In the 87th minute, Bukayo Saka completed his hat-trick: 5:3.
In the 90+6th minute, the 9th goal of the match went into the net. Ousmane Dembele scored France's fourth goal.
Two minutes later, England put the final point in the match. Jude Bellingham made the score 6:4.
After this victory, England became the bronze medalist of the World Cup.
