"Starting next year, 11th grade students will also write an essay in the foreign language subject in the graduation exam."
According to Medianews.az, this was stated by Könül Hacıyeva, head of the State Language and Foreign Languages Department of the State Examination Center (SEC).
She stated that the State Examination Center has made changes in the exam model for foreign languages at the complete secondary education level (11 years), and the new model will be implemented starting from 2027:
"According to the innovation, the exam will consist of 26 tasks. Of these tasks, 25 will be closed-ended, and 1 will be a written work. Four closed-ended test tasks will be provided for the listening comprehension section. Reading skills will be tested with a total of 8 test tasks consisting of 2 parts. For grammar, applicants will be given 13 test tasks. Writing skill will be assessed separately through one task."
