During a technical inspection of the building of full secondary school No. 3 in Mehdiabad settlement operating under the Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department, cracks were detected on the walls.
Medianews.az reports that the press service of the State Agency for Pre-school and General Education has released information about this.
It is stated that urgent measures have been instructed to be taken to prevent possible adverse incidents and to ensure the safe operation of the school building.
"Thus, from April 1, 2026, the operation of the educational institution is temporarily suspended.
To ensure the continuity of education, students are being directed to and involved in the educational process at other nearby general education institutions.
Currently, the Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department, together with relevant authorities, continues measures to investigate the causes of the situation and to carry out necessary repair and restoration works.
It should be noted that the process is being monitored. Additional information about the work carried out will be presented to the public," the statement said.
