On June 4, solar activity will be high. There will be a geomagnetic storm.
Medianews.az reports that this information was released by the Astrophysics Department of the Faculty of Physics at Baku State University.
Along with the regular C (weak) class flares on the solar surface, M (R1-R2-weak-medium) class flares and a coronal mass ejection (CME) have occurred.
As a result, the passage of the plasma mass near Earth is predicted for the middle of June.
It has been reported that after 15:00 on June 4, there will be a geomagnetic storm at the G1 level with a Kp index of 5. This will continue until the morning hours of June 5. At midnight (between 00:00-03:00 on June 5), the storm's strength is forecasted to reach a Kp index of 6.
From 09:00 on June 5 onwards, the geomagnetic storm will be at a quiet background level. There is a possibility that the process may affect satellites in Earth's orbit.
