American singer Britney Spears has been arrested in California for driving under the influence.
Demokrat.az reports that the incident occurred on March 4. At 9:30 PM, the pop star's car was stopped by the road patrol. By 3:00 AM, Spears' arrest process was completed at the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, and she was released at 6:00 AM. Afterwards, she went to the hospital for a blood alcohol level test.
The singer's representative Kate Hudson stated, "This is an unfortunate and unacceptable incident. Britney is ready to act in accordance with the laws. Hopefully, this will be the first step toward changes she has needed for a long time in her life."
It should be noted that the singer was also caught driving under the influence last September.
