The potholes that have formed in the area of Binəqədi district, in the section known as the Binəqədi-Balaxanı road, seriously concern drivers.
Medianews.az reports, referring to ATV, that according to the words of citizens, if the problem is not resolved soon, the number of those affected may increase even more.
Every day, hundreds of drivers suffer due to the terrible condition of the Binəqədi-Balaxanı road. The potholes formed on the road frequently cause vehicles to break down. Drivers say that, especially in the evening hours, the unusable state of the road leads to long traffic jams.
According to them, many vehicles have had their undersides damaged, tires and other parts have broken down. Some drivers also state that they have to incur additional expenses to repair their vehicles.
Regarding the issue, the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads has stated that such problems on the roads are being eliminated gradually.
It is noted that urgent repair and restoration works continue to ensure the comfortable and safe commuting of citizens. It is added that to cause minimal disruption to daily life, repair works are mainly performed during night hours, as well as on weekends and holidays.
Agency official Anar Nəcəfli said that new asphalt pavement will be laid in this area in the coming days.
