An interesting incident occurred during the infrastructure works carried out in Turkey.
Medianews.az reports that the incident took place in the Merzifon district of Amasya province.
While a municipal worker was excavating with an excavator, he encountered a hard object under the soil. After clearing the soil, the worker discovered a large-sized historical jar and initially thought it was a treasure chest full of gold.
Believing the find to be filled with valuable items, influenced by the treasure legends circulating in the area, the worker stopped the machinery in order not to damage the historical artifact and began digging around the jar with a shovel.
After fully uncovering the jar, the worker, examining its contents with great excitement, faced an unexpected scene. Instead of gold and other valuable items, the interior of the historical jar contained grains, believed to be from centuries ago.
Seeing the ancient food remains inside the find, the municipal worker experienced both surprise and disappointment.
