Footage showing a kindergarten teacher's rough treatment of a minor in Baku has been circulated.
Medianews.az reports that the footage was sent to the editorial office of Iqtisadiyyat.az.
The citizen noted that the incident took place at the "Predu" kindergarten branch in Hazi Aslanov, Khatai district of the capital.
He stated that although he pays 1,144 manats monthly for the kindergarten, he is dissatisfied with the services provided to his child.
"This concerns my 3-year-old child, how can anyone show violence to such a young child?" said the parent who preferred to remain anonymous.
Regarding the issue, the "Predu" kindergarten stated that the child appearing in the footage was admitted to the kindergarten in April:
"At the start of kindergarten, the parents did not provide information about the existing problems of the child. However, the child is under the supervision of a neurologist, takes medication, and is diagnosed with general developmental delay. The child was receiving support from a psychologist and speech therapist. Due to the increase in aggressive behavior towards other children in the group, it was suggested to the parents that the child be removed from the group. However, the family did not accept this and used threatening expressions against the kindergarten.
The payment amount mentioned by the parent also does not reflect reality. The footage appears rough because the initial parts of the videos were cut and sped up in this way. However, there has been no case of cruelty to any child in our kindergarten. Our surveillance cameras are active 24/7."
