On May 17, within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), a ceremony for raising the flags of Azerbaijan and the UN was held at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
Medianews.az reports that the ceremony was attended by the national coordinator of WUF13, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev, and Executive Director of the UN Habitat Program Anaklaudia Rossbach.
The flag-raising ceremony symbolizes the official start of the session and once again demonstrates the event's high international significance.
