In the first five months of 2026, Azerbaijan's imports of machinery, mechanisms, electrical apparatus, equipment and their parts amounted to 1.6 billion dollars, imports of food products amounted to 1.1 billion dollars, and imports of vehicles and their parts amounted to 911.3 million dollars.
Medianews.az reports that the State Customs Committee ranked the other main products by import value as follows:
ferrous metals and products made from them – 462.4 million dollars;
plastics and products made from them – 226.2 million dollars;
pharmaceutical products – 214.8 million dollars;
clothing and clothing accessories – 167.2 million dollars;
wood and products made from it – 149.5 million dollars;
tobacco and tobacco products – 52 million dollars;
furniture and its parts – 47.2 million dollars;
fertilizers – 44.7 million dollars;
gold – 14.9 million dollars.
