Mixing "AI-92" and "AI-95" gasoline is one of the most discussed topics among car drivers.
According to Milli.Az, although mixing different octane fuels is technically possible, it should not be made a permanent habit. Each car engine is designed by the factory for a specific type of gasoline.
When these two fuels are mixed, the engine does not stop and the car moves, but the quality of the fuel changes. If your car's manual says "only fill 95," mixing it with "92" reduces the engine's power and causes small internal explosions (detonation). Over time, this damages the engine components. However, there is no fear in adding high-quality gasoline to older model cars; it simply means additional cost for the driver.
It is emphasized that in different situations where you are stranded on the road or when you are desperate, these two fuels can be mixed, and the car will not break down. However, to ensure the engine's longevity, using the fuel required by the factory is the safest way. Because regularly mixing different gasolines disrupts the cleanliness of the fuel system and leads to expensive repairs in the future.
