Scientists have identified the most effective means against mosquitoes. According to research results, vaporizing fumigators are the leaders in this regard.

Demokrat.az reports that the study by an international research group was published in the journal "Frontiers in Insect Science."

Scientists from Tyumen State University also took part in this project. Experts tested various means in the Mali region. The experiments were conducted in the savanna near the Niger River coast and around the capital city Bamako.

According to the researchers, vaporizing fumigators provide the most reliable protection. The volatile pyrethroids contained in these devices paralyze insects. The substances completely block the transmission of nerve impulses in mosquitoes. During the tests, electronic heaters created an invisible protective zone around.

Other popular means did not deliver the expected results. Smoke coils and ultrasonic devices barely scare the insects. In some cases, these means do not work at all. Scientists also note that citrus-scented scented candles are ineffective.

On this subject, candidate of biological sciences Pavel Glazkov also issued a warning. The expert recalled that mosquitoes transmit dangerous diseases. These insects can transmit malaria infections. There are also risks of parasitic diseases such as helminthiasis and dirofilariasis. The insects also transmit Dengue, Zika, and West Nile fever viruses to the body.

In other words, scientists have checked and found that the best protection against mosquitoes is electronic fumigators operating with liquid or tablets. Because they paralyze the insects and do not let them come close. The smoke-producing coils, sound-emitting devices, and lemon-scented candles that we know almost do no good. Also, caution is necessary because these mosquitoes can transmit malaria and various terrifying fever diseases.
