The U.S. Department of State has issued an official warning to its citizens, urging them to avoid traveling to Iran.
Musavat.com reports that this message was also posted on the department's page on the social network "X".
The notice states that the U.S. does not have an embassy in Tehran, and the presence of its citizens in Iran is associated with serious risks including terrorism, mass unrest, kidnapping, and arbitrary detention.
The statement from the Department of State says: "For your safety, it is strongly recommended that you do not travel to Iran under any circumstances."
