Iran’s gas exports to Armenia will double, said Majid Chegeni, Iranian Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).
He said that today, along with the Prime Minister of Armenia’s visit to Iran and the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with this nation, the extension of the electricity and gas exchange agreement until 2030 was also inked.
Chegeni noted that Iran currently exports one million cubic meters of gas to Armenia on a daily basis. According to the new memorandum, this number will be doubled.
