Gadabay district resident Suleyman Aliyev, who bought a car many years ago, says that he encountered an unexpected problem when he tried to put the car up for sale.
According to Milli.Az, the citizen states that he legally acquired the passenger car 6 years ago and the vehicle was officially registered in his name with the license plate retained. However, when he applied to the notary office this year to sell the car, he was informed that a restriction applied to the vehicle prevented the sale.
According to the information, this restriction was imposed in 2022 by the Samukh District Executive and Probation Department. The reason given is the previous owner’s debt obligations to a bank.
Suleyman Aliyev says he contacted various government agencies regarding the issue, but so far no concrete result has been achieved in resolving the problem.
In a statement from the Ministry of Justice on the subject, it was noted that the fact is being investigated and that after the investigation is completed, appropriate legal steps will be taken in response to the citizen’s application.
