Famous expert Dan Buettner, who studies the lifestyle of long-lived people, has identified a common habit in the diet of individuals over 100 years old.
According to Medianews.az, research shows that people living in the world's "Blue Zones," regions where longevity is more commonly observed, consume at least four times more beans compared to other regions.
The expert states that almost all people who have passed the age of 100 regularly eat beans throughout their lives.
Beans have a high nutritional value: approximately 21 percent of their composition is protein, and 77 percent consists of complex carbohydrates. This ensures the gradual and stable transfer of energy to the body.
At the same time, beans are rich in fiber, support intestinal health, create a feeling of fullness, and can prevent weight gain.
Dan Buettner recommends consuming at least half a cup of cooked beans daily.
