The salary required to be happy has been revealed: Does money really bring happiness?

Scientists have once again sought answers to the long-debated question "Does money bring happiness?" Recent studies have determined the average annual amount people need to earn to feel financially comfortable and happy.

According to a large-scale study by Purdue University, the ideal annual income for a person to be fully satisfied with life is on average $95,000 (approximately 161,000 manat). However, to maintain daily emotional well-being and feel good, an amount between $60,000 and $75,000 is sufficient.

Figures vary by region
The "happiness threshold" varies according to the economic conditions and living standards of the country lived in:

In developed countries: Since living costs are high, the amount required for happiness is higher.

In developing countries: It is possible to reach the same level of happiness with less income.

The most remarkable aspect of the study is that after surpassing a certain income threshold (for example, $95,000), the level of happiness does not increase; on the contrary, it tends to decrease. This is attributed to heavy workloads, stress, and lack of time for social life brought by high earnings. In other words, after needs are met, additional money does not bring proportional joy to a person.

Scientists state that money is important for meeting basic needs and creating a sense of security. However, for true and long-term happiness, social relationships, health, and the quality of leisure time become more important factors than money.
