Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), has warned countries about the hantavirus spreading on the "MV Hondius" cruise ship.

Ghebreyesus thanked Spain for accepting the ship in a difficult situation and called it an "example of compassion and solidarity."
The WHO chief said that the current situation does not indicate a large-scale epidemic, but emphasized that the long incubation period of the virus is concerning: "Due to the long incubation period, new cases may emerge in the coming weeks."//Qafqazinfo
