North Korea sharply protested the joint military exercise conducted by the US and Japan, describing it as a "war rehearsal."
Medianews.az reports that Pyongyang issued a statement regarding this matter.
The statement noted that Japan’s expansion of military cooperation with the US poses a threat to regional security. North Korea characterized Japan's participation in these maneuvers as a step aimed at "increasing its invasion capabilities."
The statement sharply condemned the joint exercises conducted by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the US Marines. North Korea also assessed Japan's participation in these exercises as a move aimed at "increasing the country's invasion capabilities."
Official Pyongyang accused Tokyo's leadership of deepening military cooperation with Washington and escalating insecurity in the region.
The statement also noted that Japan is using the current international situation to "legalize its transformation into a war-waging state" and warned that if this policy continues, it may face a "tragic end."
It is worth noting that the joint military exercise between the US and Japan, which began on June 20, is scheduled to conclude tomorrow.
