The road in the tunnel located in the Sabunçu district has collapsed. Related footage has spread on social networks.
In response to Trend's inquiry on the matter, it was reported by "Azerbaijan Railways CJSC" that the collapse of a part of the road in the tunnel in the Sabunçu district was caused by the overflowing of the sewage well at the tunnel exit during the recent heavy rains.
"After major repair works are carried out in the tunnel area together with the relevant authorities, road restoration will begin," the agency added.
