In Australia, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been called to recognize Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's last shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, as the country's leader.
Telegraph reports that the letter addressed to the prime minister was signed by more than 750 Iranians living in Australia.
In the letter, Anthony Albanese was urged to recognize Reza Pahlavi as Iran's legitimate transitional leader.
They also requested the Australian government to recognize the "Lion and Sun" flag as a national symbol of Iran.
