A WhatsApp conversation between a newly married woman and her mother-in-law in Turkey has sparked extensive discussions on social media.
According to Medianews.az, the mother-in-law questioned her daughter-in-law's marriage citing her health condition and used expressions such as “You were sick, why did you get married?”.
She also claimed that the family should undergo surgery and that the marriage was a hasty decision.
The daughter-in-law protested these accusations, stating that the illness was unrelated to the marriage and responded firmly to the criticisms.
After the messages were leaked, social network users criticized the mother-in-law's words and showed support to the young woman.
