In the new episode of Baku TV's podcast "What's Happening in Sports?", former wrestler Rasul Chunayev discussed the current state of Azerbaijani wrestling.
Rasul Chunayev stated that he has been elected as a member of the Athletes' Commission of the National Olympic Committee for the second time. According to him, the main activity of the Commission is to closely study the problems of athletes and determine ways to solve them:
"Our main function is to meet with young athletes and implement useful and interesting projects for them. We also participate in the International Olympic Committee assemblies and conduct various discussions within the framework of international events."
The former wrestler also touched upon the "Wrestling in Karabakh" project implemented by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation in December. He noted that the mentioned project was met with great interest:
"There, we saw that everyone is very enthusiastic and trying to prove themselves. After the event, proposals were made regarding the opening of a wrestling hall in the region. This shows how great the interest in wrestling is. We will work to create the necessary conditions for citizens to train comfortably."
