The fibers, vitamins C and B9 in kiwi positively affect the nervous system. Roxas states that there is a direct connection between the gut microbiota and the brain. The rich fibers in this fruit not only regulate bowel function but also influence a person’s general mood and level of anxiety. Antioxidants protect cells from stress and help the body relax.
The doctor emphasizes that consuming kiwi regularly increases the duration of sleep. The folic acid it contains balances the transmission of signals between brain cells. Thus, just two fruits eaten in the evening both calm the nerves and facilitate the transition to deep sleep.
