Oil production: Statistics for the years 2008-2025

According to the official report of the Ministry of Energy, 27.7 million tons of oil, including condensate, were extracted in Azerbaijan in 2025.

Medianews.az reports that this is the lowest figure in the last 18 years. In 2008, oil production was 44.5 million tons, in 2009 it was 50.4 million tons, in 2010 it was 50.8 million tons, in 2011 it was 45.6 million tons, in 2012 it was 43.4 million tons, in 2013 it was 43.5 million tons, in 2014 it was 42 million tons, in 2015 it was 41.6 million tons, in 2016 it was 41 million tons, in 2017 it was 38.7 million tons, in 2018 it was 38.8 million tons, in 2019 it was 37.4 million tons, in 2020 it was 34.5 million tons, in 2021 it was 34.6 million tons, in 2022 it was 32.6 million tons, in 2023 it was 30.2 million tons, and in 2024 it was 29.1 million tons.

In Azerbaijan’s 2026 budget, one barrel of oil was taken at $65, starting with $65.71 for Azerbaijan oil branded "AzeriLight".

The international coalition of exporters has set the daily crude oil production quota for Azerbaijan at 551 thousand barrels.
