Meykhana performer Vuqar Abdullov, although he studied at the acting faculty, talked about being a meykhana performer.
Medianews.az, citing Bakivakti.az, reports that the performer featured in the "Künc-bucaq" YouTube project said he was forced into this art. He stated that he did not pursue this art because of the scar on his face after a car accident:
"I was left with the desire to become an actor. At that time, meykhana did not cross my mind, I entered the university with the desire to become an actor. Among my classmates, some became Honored and People's Artists. We still had the camaraderie as if we grew up in the same yard. They also regret that I am not among them. I had a car accident, my face was deformed. I was forced to give preference to meykhana. I thought that I was not suitable for acting."
