Famous businessman was killed

Erdoğan Akbulak, a prominent Turkish businessman and founder of "Silkar Madencilik" (SilkarStone) company, lost his life as a result of an armed clash that occurred in Ethiopia, where he had gone for a safari tour.

According to Milli.Az, 75-year-old Erdoğan Akbulak was in Ethiopia for tourist purposes when a sudden armed clash broke out between various local groups in the region. The businessman accidentally remained in the line of fire and died.

According to claims, two more Turkish citizens who were with Akbulak at the time of the incident managed to escape the danger and took refuge in the Turkish embassy in the country.

Ethiopia has been in the spotlight in recent years due to internal ethnic tensions and clashes among local armed groups. It is reported that the incident occurred precisely against this backdrop of instability.

Erdoğan Akbulak was one of the most prominent figures in Turkey's natural stone and marble sector.

In 1990, he founded the company "Silkar Madencilik" and introduced Turkish marble to the global market under the brand "SilkarStone."

He was known as the person who carried the "Made in Türkiye" signature to many prestigious construction projects around the world.
