The Embassy of Mexico in the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its activities in Baku.
According to the news from Milli.Az, Guillermo Puente Ordorica, the Mexican ambassador in Iran who was evacuated through the Azerbaijan border, stated that the embassy will continue its activities in Baku from now on.
The ambassador noted that he has now arrived in Azerbaijan: "My government has instructed me to establish our embassy here with the support of the Azerbaijani government and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico. That is why my team and I are here.
As can be seen, the situation in Iran is complicated. Azerbaijan is a friendly country. There are very good bilateral relations between Mexico and Azerbaijan. I frequently come to Azerbaijan. Even during my years as ambassador in Iran, I visited here several times. However, this time, as I said, I have come to work in Baku with my team and to support the Mexican community in Iran. We hope that the situation we are currently observing will soon be resolved peacefully."
