The details of a severe road traffic accident resulting in death in the Samukh district have been revealed.
The incident was recorded on January 25, around 6 a.m., near the village of Yenikand in the district. A "GAZel" minibus carrying workers went out of control and collided with a communications pole by the roadside, then overturned into a ditch.
Vugar Asgarov, 25 years old, who sustained severe injuries in the accident, was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save his life.
The deceased's brother, Isa Asgarov, told journalists about the incident that the vehicle slipped on the road and went out of control:
"They went to work every day, working as laborers for 15 manats daily. He had recently married; he was going to become a father in March. He was happily going to work. It was just before seven in the morning when they called me, saying that the bus had an accident and my brother was trapped under the vehicle."
The injured Maharat Zulfugarov noted that he was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident: "I was sleeping in the car. Suddenly, I saw that the car was out of control. When I turned on the phone light, I saw that Vugar was trapped under the vehicle."
