Lukashenko spoke about his successor: "Before I depart from the world..."

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko stated that there is no problem with a change of power in a country that has not emigrated from the world.

Medianews.az reports that the head of state spoke about this in an interview with RT channel.

"I think that before I emigrate from the world or before we retire together, a normal person (the new president of Belarus) will work here. We have many good, educated people," he noted.

According to the president, only "foolish people in the West" can consider the impossibility of a change of power in Belarus and that anyone aspiring to the presidency in the future will be immediately punished. Lukashenko confidently emphasized that "whatever the people decide, that will happen."

The Belarusian leader stated that he is ready to follow the path chosen according to the will of the people, but at the same time recalled the principle "if the people do not want it, you cannot force yourself to be loved."

During the interview, Lukashenko also said that the US should learn democracy from Belarus. He called discussions about human rights in the West "empty talk" that contradicts the actions of foreign politicians./Musavat.com
