Clash at London airport - there are injured people

Pepper spray was used in the car park during an attempted luggage theft at London's Heathrow Airport, resulting in 21 people being injured.

London police have detained one person in connection with an incident where people were attacked with pepper spray in the car park area of Heathrow Airport.

According to Milli.Az, during the incident, emergency medical teams provided on-site medical assistance to 21 people, including a 3-year-old girl. Five people were taken to hospital, but their injuries were reported to be not serious.

The Metropolitan Police stated that the incident at the Terminal 3 car park occurred as a result of a dispute escalating between two groups who knew each other.

It has been officially confirmed that the incident is not related to terrorism.

The police have detained one person suspected of the attack and are continuing to search for other suspects who fled the scene.

According to reports, the 31-year-old individual was arrested at 8:20 a.m.—just nine minutes after the incident was reported—and is currently in custody.

The incident caused several hours of delays for passengers using Terminal 3.
