At least 78 protesters have been killed and more than 2,600 people have been detained as a result of protests shaking the country in Iran against the government.
APA reports that CNN cited an international human rights organization regarding this information.
The protests and demonstrations, spreading to over 180 cities across all provinces of the country, have occurred against the backdrop of dissatisfaction caused by severe economic conditions.
According to the information, protesters spoke about brutal violence against large crowds of people. The report states that "bodies are piled on top of one another" in hospitals. According to an Iranian doctor, the hospitals are "in an extremely chaotic state" and patients fear being identified due to the government's harsh measures.
According to the observation organization's information, the internet outage imposed by official authorities is still ongoing, but residents living in Tehran noted that this measure has not been able to stop the protests.
