Iran: A missile hit Bushehr AES.

As tension rises amid attacks by the US and Israel, Iran has announced that a missile has landed in the area of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant located on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

According to Medianews.az, official information states that the facility was not damaged and no casualties were recorded.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran states that although the missile landed in the power plant area, the critical infrastructure was not damaged and operations continue. Official Tehran emphasized that attacks on nuclear facilities are against international law.

Experts note that targeting nuclear facilities is a dangerous phase, and a possible leak could have serious consequences for the region and the world. The Iranian side has stated that such attacks also pose a great risk to the countries of the Persian Gulf.

It should be noted that since February 28, confrontation in the region has escalated with attacks by the US and Israel. Iran has responded with strikes on US military bases in the region. Concerns about the safety of nuclear facilities are increasing amid the mutual attacks.

Bushehr NPP is Iran’s first operating nuclear energy facility. The plant, commissioned in 2011, plays an important role in the country’s energy supply and is under the supervision of international organizations.

According to recent information, the number of deaths in Iran as a result of the attacks has exceeded 1,300, and the number of injured has surpassed 17,000.
