Medianews.az reports that, according to the doctors, firstly, the person having a stroke should not be given any food, water, or medicine. Because in this situation, swallowing problems can arise and the risk of choking increases.
The second important warning is that trying to take the patient to the hospital on their own is dangerous — the condition may worsen on the way and emergency medical assistance may be required.
The third mistake is waiting for the symptoms to resolve by themselves. Specialists have stated that even if the symptoms pass, an immediate medical examination is essential.
Stroke is considered a medical emergency and timely help can save lives.
