According to the Labor Code of Azerbaijan, if rest days between weeks and non-working holiday days coincide, the rest day is transferred directly to the next working day after the holiday. When the Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr holidays coincide with another holiday that is not a working day, the next working day is considered a rest day.
Medianews.az taking this into account, has compiled the list of non-working holiday days for 2026:
New Year - January 1-2
Women’s Day - March 8-9
Novruz holiday and Eid al-Fitr - March 20-30
Victory over Fascism Day - May 9-11
Eid al-Adha and Independence Day - May 27-29
National Salvation Day of the Azerbaijani People - June 15
Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan - June 26
Victory Day and State Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan - November 8-10
World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day - December 31.
