It has been announced that the famous actor Doğukan Güngör has been removed from the cast of the record-breaking rating series "Kızılcık Şerbeti." The actor's name came up in a large-scale drug investigation involving celebrities, and the analysis results were positive. Upon learning the decision, Güngör released an emotional statement on his social media account confirming the situation and called this step "merciless."
According to Milli.Az, the blood and hair samples of 19 suspects, including Doğukan Güngör, were examined by the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK). The prepared report determined that a total of 14 people, including Güngör, tested positive for drugs. Following this development, the management of "Show TV" decided to part ways with the actor who had portrayed the character "Fatih" for 4 seasons.
Doğukan Güngör confirmed on social media that he was expelled from the series and protested this decision:
"I just found out that I have been removed from the series that I have been working on with great enthusiasm for 4 seasons. Everyone can make mistakes in this life. I honestly accepted that I made a mistake and had taken my first steps towards a clean life. However, with the news I received this evening, I witnessed how merciless institutions can be when making decisions. I leave these people, who do not believe in second chances, to their conscience and God. I stand tall. Keeping the promise of the clean life I gave myself, I will soon meet my loved ones in better projects."
According to the information, "Show TV" has also removed the scenes shot today featuring the actor from the broadcast and erased his images from the promotion materials of the series. It is reported that the production company is currently looking for a new actor for the character "Fatih Ünal" or working on how to write the character out of the script.
