The yard where the film "Bəxt üzüyü" was shot has been sold.
A village resident who witnessed the filming, Novruz Məmmədov, spoke to the Medianews.az website about this:
"That yard is located in the area called Əncirlik in Şüvəlan. The owner of the house was a single woman. After her husband Bayram passed away, the woman sold it and moved to Məhəmmədi village. The person who bought this yard is also a film enthusiast. I would say that the fact that the film 'Bəxt üzüyü' was shot there played a big role in him buying it. He left it exactly as he bought it. He did not demolish or destroy anything. He said that the yard should be kept as it is. It turns out that 'Bəxt üzüyü' is also the favorite screen work of that person. The person who bought the yard has put it up for sale again. He bought it cheap at the time; now he is selling it for 130 thousand manats."
Novruz Məmmədov said he witnessed the filming of the movie and shared his memories:
"I was 18 years old when the film was being shot. It coincided with my teenage years. We lived nearby. The yellow wall seen in the film was our yard. Neighbors watch the filming from our yard. Ramiz Əzizbəyli included that shot in the film at the time. The yogurt vendor was a villager too. They were such a friendly collective, actors. The house where Firəngiz Rəhimbəyova and Valeh Kərimov were filmed was not in this yard. They had made a mock-up; when you opened the door, you came out into the yard. The scenes inside the house were filmed in another area. Afaq used to come and go to our house so much. She would call on the phone and talk to her family. During breaks, we all drank tea with the actors, chatted, and laughed. We were kids too. We stood ready to serve them. Whatever was needed, we would quickly run and manage it ourselves."
Novruz Məmmədov says that a fire broke out in the yard some time ago:
"A month ago, a fire in the neighbor's yard spread to that house too. There was a small wooden cottage behind the house. It burned down. Fortunately, the house where the film was shot was not damaged. They extinguished the fire quickly. We and the neighbors helped. If they had not put out the fire, that house would have burned too."
