Regarding medical examinations before marriage in Azerbaijan BREAKING NEWS

A new step is being taken in Azerbaijan to improve the quality of pre-marital medical examinations.

According to information obtained by BAKU.WS, the Health Assurance Center under the Ministry of Health has announced an open tender for the purchase of laboratory reagents worth 1 million 287 thousand manat for this purpose.

The purpose of the tender is to strengthen the laboratory support of medical examinations carried out within the framework of the "Marriage Program." The project is particularly aimed at conducting analyses for HIV and syphilis (sexually transmitted diseases) more accurately and promptly.

It should be noted that such laboratory reagents are important for the early detection of diseases and significantly increase the reliability level of examination results.

Let us remind that in Azerbaijan, persons entering into marriage are required by law to undergo examinations for HIV, hepatitis, and hereditary blood diseases. In recent years, several steps have been taken to expand the coverage of this program, renew laboratory equipment, and improve the supply of reagents.
