The former UFC fighter was found dead in a US prison.
According to Milli.Az, Brazilian MMA fighter and former UFC participant Godofredo Castro was found dead in a US prison.
The 38-year-old athlete had been imprisoned since July 2025. He was accused of attempting to strangle his wife.
The cause of the athlete’s death has not yet been disclosed.
Godofredo Castro fought 11 matches in the UFC between 2012 and 2018 and achieved a total of 14 wins and 7 losses in his MMA career.
