As we reported, today employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office conducted a search at the house of the head of the country's Presidential Administration Andrey Yermak.
It is reported that this operation is primarily related to suspicions of corruption in the energy sector.

Political commentator Məhəmməd Əsədullazadə said in a statement to Medianews.az regarding the issue that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is an institution under the control of the United States and is in fact not subordinate to Ukraine’s political leadership: “It cannot be a coincidence that such an institution is targeting Andrey Yermak.”
According to M.Əsədullazadə, A.Yermak opposes the 28-point “peace plan” proposed by US President Donald Trump concerning the Russia-Ukraine war, which serves Moscow’s interests more: “Yermak led the Geneva talks where that plan was discussed and rejected. Yermak is a fairly strong figure in Ukraine, a very close ally of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Targeting Yermak is intended to pressure Zelensky to accept Trump’s proposals.”

The political scientist noted that yes, corruption in Ukraine is undeniable, but now behind these operations stands a political motive – to weaken Zelensky’s power, forcing him either to agree to the plan serving Russia’s interests or to resign: “But the European Union will provide serious political support to Zelensky. It will try to protect him from US pressures.”
