“In 2004, we canceled the results of 200 people who scored above 600 in the exam.”
Medianews.az reports that this was stated by Maleyka Abbaszade, Chairperson of the Board of the State Examination Center (SEC), in an interview with Trend:
“In 2004, we canceled the results of 200 people who scored above 600 in the exam. In that incident, the organizer was a university lecturer – an associate professor, who also had an academic degree and a candidate dissertation.”
“Since 2022–2023, we know that the situation has changed, and now some technical devices exist. First, let us note that bringing and using these devices into the country is against the law. Approval from the relevant authorities is required. Whenever such devices are used during the exam, we have always detected them. I do not want to say how we detect them. Because explaining our methods makes it clear to the other side, and they start looking for new ways. This is like a virus–antivirus issue,” she said.
