A fire that started in a restaurant located on the beach area of Büyükada in Istanbul quickly spread to the nearby forested area.
Medianews.az reports, citing Turkish media, that 4 people suffered various degrees of injuries during the incident.
The injured were given initial medical aid and then taken to the hospital.
After the report of the fire in the Viranbağ area, firefighters, police, and emergency medical services were deployed to the scene. A firefighting helicopter also provided aerial support to extinguish the flames.
The fire was completely extinguished as a result of operations carried out from the air and on the ground. Cooling efforts are currently ongoing in the area.
Turkey's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure also announced that the "Nene Hatun" emergency intervention ship and the KEGM-4 fast rescue boat, belonging to the Coastal Safety General Directorate, were sent to the incident area to support firefighting efforts. It was stated that the operation continues in coordination with the relevant authorities.
