A 7-day national mourning has been declared in the country in memory of those who died in the strong earthquakes that occurred in Venezuela.
Medianews.az reports that this was announced by Venezuela's interim president Delsi Rodriguez.
She also expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Recall that on the night of June 25, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in northern Venezuela. Afterwards, two more strong underground tremors with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 were recorded with only a 40-second difference.
According to official information, 1,943 people have died and 10,571 people have been injured as a result of the earthquakes. Rescuers have rescued 6,461 people alive from under the debris. //qafqazinfo
