The person accused of killing Tupac Shakur has revealed the name of the person who ordered it.

American rapper Sean Combs, known by the nickname "P. Diddy," was the mastermind behind the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur and the founder of the "Death Row Records" label, Suge Knight.

According to "Report," this was reported by the "USA Today" newspaper citing the testimony of Dueyn Davis (Keff D), a former member of the "Crips" criminal gang suspected of being the killer.

In September 1996, after a boxing match held in Las Vegas, members of the California gang said Shakur punched his rival Orlando Anderson.

He did not go to the police after the incident but told his uncle Dueyn Davis about what happened. The latter wanted to help his nephew get revenge. However, a police report detailing Davis's secret interview shows that the accused had another reason besides revenge for targeting Shakur and Knight: Combs offered a $1 million reward for their murders.

Shakur was shot dead while driving a few hours later. He died several days later, on September 13, 1996, from a heart attack. Knight was shot in the head and survived.

Two more accusations linking Combs to Shakur's death have emerged in documents filed as part of several civil lawsuits against him.

No charges have ever been brought against Combs regarding Shakur's death, and his involvement in the murders has been repeatedly denied. A spokesman for the Las Vegas Police Department told the publication that Combs was never a suspect in Shakur's murder.
