"We have submitted our proposals regarding the payment of labor pensions simultaneously or within a closer day interval in the capital, large cities, as well as in the regions."
Medianews.az reports that deputy Vuqar Bayramov stated this in an interview with "Unikal". According to him, the essence of the proposals is that pensions in Azerbaijan should be paid at the same time or with a maximum difference of 2 days:
"Practically, the system in our country has become electronic. The application of the electronic system, as a result, allows pensions to be paid in a shorter time. In this regard, it seems realistic to make pension payments simultaneously or on nearby days. We consider it appropriate to review the pension payment system and minimize the time difference between the payment dates in the capital and the regions. Considering that some of our citizens have credit obligations, the repayment of these obligations sometimes falls within the first half of the month. Taking into account utility and other obligations, it would be more appropriate for these payments to be made earlier and for the difference between the payment days in other regions to be minimal, just like in the capital and large cities."
Regarding how pensions are paid in other countries, the deputy noted that in most countries there are no significant time differences in pension payments between cities and regions.
It should be noted that pensions are paid at the beginning of the month in Baku, Nakhchivan, Sumgait, Absheron, and at the end of the month in other cities and regions.
